How we use cookies
A plain-English guide to the cookies and similar bits of tech we use on Agritrend, written to meet the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
What are cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files that get saved on your device (your computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. They help the site recognise you next time, remember what you like, and make things run a bit more smoothly. We also use similar tools such as local storage and pixels, and when we say "cookies" in this policy, we mean those too.

How we use cookies
We use cookies to keep the shop running, to see how people get on with our pages, to remember your choices, and (if you've said yes) to show you marketing that's actually relevant. We sort them into the four groups below.
Strictly necessary
These keep the basics working, like signing in, adding items to your basket and a safe checkout. You can't turn these off.
Analytics
These show us how people use Agritrend so we can improve our pages, products and speed.
Functional
These remember handy things like your region, language and the kit you've recently looked at.
Marketing
These help us show you offers on farm machinery, both here and on other sites. We only set them if you say it's okay.

Third-party cookies
A few cookies are set by trusted partners who help us run certain parts of the site. They have their own privacy and cookie policies, which they stick to.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use our site. Where we can, we anonymise IP addresses.
Payment providers
Our payment partners may set cookies at checkout to keep your payment safe and help spot fraud when you're buying tractors, parts or other kit.
Embedded media
If a page has an embedded video (like a product demo), the video provider may set its own cookies once you press play.
Managing your cookies
You can accept, turn down or change your non-essential cookies any time using the cookie banner on our site. You can also manage cookies in your browser:

Heads up: if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of Agritrend (including checkout) may stop working properly.
Changing your mind
Under UK PECR and UK GDPR, you can change your mind about non-essential cookies whenever you like. Just clear the cookie_consent cookie in your browser, or drop us a line using the contact details below. Withdrawing your consent doesn't affect anything we did lawfully before you pulled it.
Changes to this policy
We may tweak this Cookie Policy now and then, either because the cookies we use have changed, our services have moved on, or the rules have. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when we last made changes, so it's worth popping back every so often to check.
