Returns Policy

Changed your mind or spotted a problem? Here's how returns, refunds and swaps work at Agritrend, in plain English.

How long you've got

You've got 14 days from the day your order arrives to send most items back for a refund or swap. They just need to be unused, still in their original packaging and in a condition we can resell.

This policy doesn't take away any of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

What you can send back

To help us sort your return quickly, have a quick look at the lists below before you get in touch.

Yes, you can return

  • Unused items in their original, undamaged packaging
  • Parts and accessories with all seals still intact
  • Anything we've sent in error or picked wrong
  • Items that turned up faulty or damaged

Sorry, we can't take back

  • Custom-built or made-to-order machinery
  • Kit that's been used, fitted or installed
  • Items with missing serial numbers or tags
  • Opened consumables (oils, filters, lubricants)

How to start a return

Our team will walk you through it. Please don't send anything back before we've okayed it.

Get in touch

Email or call us within 14 days of delivery. Have your order number and the reason for your return handy.

Wait for the go-ahead

We'll send you an RMA number and written instructions on what to do next.

Pack it up safely

Put the item back in its original packaging with all the bits, bobs and paperwork.

Send it or wait for pickup

Post it with the courier we've agreed, or sit tight while we arrange a pallet collection for bigger items.

Who pays for return postage

Who picks up the postage bill depends on why you're sending it back and how big the item is.

Big machinery and anything on a pallet has to be picked up by our approved freight partners. Please don't book your own courier for these.

What happens when it arrives back

Once your return lands at our warehouse, the team will check it over within 3 to 5 working days. We'll be looking at:

  • The condition of the item and whether all the bits are there
  • Whether the original packaging is still in good shape
  • Any signs it's been used, fitted or installed
  • That the serial numbers match your original order

If something's not quite right, we'll give you a ring to talk through the options before we sort out a refund.

Getting your money back

Once your return's been approved, we'll refund the card or account you paid with within 5 to 10 working days. You'll get an email from us as soon as it goes through.

A quick note on deductions

If an item's been handled more than it needed to be and that's knocked down its value, we may take a bit off your refund to reflect that.

Fancy a swap instead?

If you'd rather swap your item for something else, just let us know when you get in touch. We'll hold the replacement for you and send it out as soon as your return's been approved.

Turned up damaged or faulty?

Please give your delivery a proper look before you sign for it. If you spot any damage:

  • Sign for it as "damaged" on the driver's paperwork
  • Take clear photos of the packaging and the item itself
  • Let us know within 48 hours of delivery

If a fault shows up later on, you're still covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We'll sort out a repair, replacement or refund, whichever fits best.
