Overview
At Agritrend, we want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund, how long it takes, and how to raise a request. It should be read alongside our Returns Policy and Terms of Sale.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK consumers have statutory rights that are not affected by this policy.
Refund Eligibility
You may be entitled to a refund if any of the following apply:
- The item is unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 14 days of delivery.
- The product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described.
- Your order was cancelled before dispatch.
- We are unable to fulfil your order due to stock or supply issues.
Non-refundable items
- Bespoke, made-to-order or custom-configured machinery.
- Consumables that have been opened or used (e.g. oils, lubricants, chemicals).
- Items damaged through misuse or incorrect installation.
Refund Processing Times
Once your refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method. Typical UK timelines are shown below.

Partial vs Full Refunds
Full refunds
A full refund (including standard delivery charges) is issued when an order is cancelled before dispatch, or when a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
Partial refunds
A partial refund may apply in the following cases:
- Restocking fee: Up to 15% may be deducted for large machinery returned in used or incomplete condition.
- Deposits: Non-refundable deposits on bespoke or pre-ordered equipment will not be returned.
- Missing items: Deductions may apply where accessories or manuals are missing from the return.
Cancelled Orders
Before Dispatch
Cancel any time before your order leaves our warehouse for a full refund, issued within 3-5 working days.
After Dispatch
You may still cancel, but the item must be returned unused. Return carriage may be deducted from your refund.
Damaged or Faulty Products
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault within the warranty period, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery for transit damage, or as soon as the fault is identified. We will arrange inspection, repair, replacement or a full refund in line with your statutory rights.
Please retain all original packaging and provide photographs of any damage to help us process your claim quickly.
Refunds for Finance and Leasing
Where an order was paid via a finance or leasing agreement, refunds are processed through the finance provider rather than directly to you. We will notify the provider on your behalf once the refund is approved. The provider will then adjust your agreement balance or issue funds according to their terms.
Early settlement
If your finance agreement has already commenced, early settlement charges may apply. Please contact your finance provider for a settlement figure before raising a refund request.
How to Request a Refund
- Contact us: Email or call our customer service team with your order number and reason for the refund.
- Receive authorisation: We will confirm eligibility and issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) where applicable.
- Return the item: Package the item securely and return it using the instructions provided.
- Inspection: Once received, we will inspect the product within 2 working days.
- Refund issued: Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within the timelines above.
