Which lubricants and oils should I use in my machinery?

Using the correct lubricant grade is one of the simplest ways to extend equipment life. Always check your operator manual first, but the following are the industry-standard specifications for most modern agricultural machinery.

How do I prevent rust on my farm equipment?

Rust is the biggest enemy of farm equipment resale value. A consistent cleaning and protection routine will keep panels, frames and implements looking good and working reliably for decades.

Weekly prevention

Pressure wash: Remove soil, slurry and fertiliser residue — these hold moisture against steel
Dry off: Use compressed air on joints and crevices, especially after washing
Touch up chips: Dab paint chips with matching primer and topcoat straight away

Seasonal protection

Cavity wax: Spray inside chassis sections and box-frame implements
Lanolin spray: Natural, food-safe rust inhibitor for exposed linkages
Anti-corrosion grease: Coat bright-metal surfaces such as ram chrome and PTO splines
Underbody seal: Renew every couple of years on road-going equipment

Wire brush: Remove loose scale down to sound metal
Rust converter: Phosphoric acid-based products neutralise remaining oxide

Yes, we offer UK-wide delivery on all equipment sold through Agritrend. Delivery timescales vary depending on the size and weight of the item — smaller attachments are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days, whilst larger machinery such as trailers and sprayers may require 7–14 working days. All deliveries are made by specialist hauliers experienced in handling agricultural equipment. You will be contacted prior to delivery to arrange a suitable date and time. Please ensure adequate access is available at your farm or premises for unloading.

What warranty is provided on Agritrend equipment?

All equipment sold by Agritrend comes with a minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Many of our premium product lines, including selected sprayers and loader attachments, carry an extended 2-year warranty. Warranty cover does not apply to consumable parts (such as nozzles, blades, or seals subject to normal wear), nor to damage caused by misuse, incorrect fitting, or failure to follow the recommended maintenance schedule. To make a warranty claim, please contact our aftersales team with your order number and a description of the fault.

Can I finance my purchase through Agritrend?

Yes, Agritrend works with specialist agricultural finance providers to offer flexible payment options on equipment purchases. Finance is available on orders from £500 upwards, with terms typically ranging from 12 to 60 months. Options include hire purchase (HP), finance lease, and contract hire depending on your requirements. Subject to status and credit approval. Will the equipment fit my tractor, and how do I check compatibility?

Compatibility depends on the type of equipment. Most of our mounted implements use a standard 3-point linkage (Cat I, Cat II, or Cat III), and the required category is listed in each product's compatibility section. Loader attachments are designed for Euro (Euro 8) or skid-steer quick-attach systems — please check your loader specification before ordering. For PTO-driven equipment, ensure your tractor's PTO output (540 RPM or 1000 RPM) matches the equipment requirement. If you are unsure about fitment, please contact our technical team with your tractor make, model, and year, and we will confirm compatibility before you order.

Are spare parts and consumables available for equipment purchased from Agritrend?
